One really good point for the power meter is to show user what kind of power they are really using. Many people are thinking that they are using even power in the whole ski but in reality you are starting with the full power because the device is right under your body. After you are moving the device forward your hands are "running away from your body" and on the tail of the ski you are not having so much power anymore. Even though you should have the most power on the tail of the ski.
